As the first neo-traditional community in Bluffton, South Carolina, Westbury Park has held fast as the areas standard for moderately priced single family home developments.   A mix of classic Southern architecture, modern amenities and contemporary building standards, this traditional neighborhood is a frequent source of developer inspiration that has yet to be locally duplicated.  Given the recent enlightenments of area roadways and new school sites, Westbury Park is set to become one of the area’s best residential locations. 

The recent information regarding the Bluffton Parkway and Beaufort County’s purchasing of land for two new schools has placed the Westbury Park residents in one of the areas prime locations.  The Bluffton Parkway will offer Westbury Park residents exceptionally convenient access to area shopping, schools, entertainment, river access and major state routes, while still being distanced and undisturbed from road noise.  The relatively recent news of the new elementary and middle schools will also propel this established neighborhood into an even higher level of desirability. 

Westbury Park is a diverse neighborhood with residents ranging from first-time home owners to white collar retirees.  The properties start with two bedroom town homes in the mid $200ks and top the high $300ks for a four bedroom Charleston style home.  The development is reaching its build-out stage and less than 35 resales are currently on the market.  While large corporate developments further from the center of town are offering competitive choices for home buyers, Westbury Park still rates as one of my favorite recommendations for Bluffton area home seekers.
