Veronica, it appears to be nine months.

Denver, Co, you’re correct. A first-time home owner is considered to be someone who has not owned a home for three years.

Sam, you are also correct but I’m not sure if there is a viable alternative. It’s an election year and there are many things happening both at the congressional as well as executive level which may be disheartening to some. But this blog is about real estate, not politics.

That’s interesting. I wonder who qualifies as a first time home buyer? Many times that term is used for people who haven’t owned a home for a while, not just true first time home buyers.

It actually looks as if there may be “calmer waters” if the Housing Rescue Bill succeeds as planned; time will tell.

What great advice, I foresee we feel a small housing ripple in a few months from all these people jumping into foreclosures without doing the math on financing, repairs, turnaround to sale, etc. PS - Check out the new site I’ve been working on.

The latest report coming out of the “Big Apple” leads many to believe that the bottom has not yet arrived. Overall Manhattan properties have not experienced a decline.

Let’s see if the recent Housing Rescue Bill offers any help.
