I’m Still Here - Busy in Bluffton, South Carolina
This is supposed to be the slow time of year in real estate? I must have missed that memo. There is a lot going on in the Bluffton and Hilton Head Island area, in regards to real estate and new developments.
Besides my busy schedule, the greatest activity in Bluffton is the potential developer annexation of nearly 100 more acres into [...]

Transparencey, or lack of, hits home for Bluffton Town Council
The future for Bluffton development hit a sour note Tuesday night when a moratorium was ended by votes which were cast without public notice. The moratorium was not on the agenda for the workshop-style meeting but it was still introduced by council member Thomas G. Heyward late into the evening, well after public discussion had [...]

An informed buyer’s agent. Why you need one.
The Bluffton Today is the Bluffton area’s free, hyper-local news paper. One of the features of Bluffton Today is the Vox section, where Bluffton residents can call in to air their views of local events which are then printed in the daily paper. I’ll glance at the Vox section almost daily and it can sometimes [...]

I’m not very fond of the “B” word
When I first decided to start the Bluffton, South Carolina real estate blog I made a few personal “restrictions of topic” when it came to content. No politics, no religion, no mention of names or specific conversations had with clients… However, one of my most time relevant and personal convictions was to never mention the “B” word, [...]

New home builders subject to higher impact fees
Beaufort County Council proposed higher impact fees for new home builders breaking ground on Hilton Head and in Bluffton, but the Hilton Head Island Town Council rejected the county’s proposal in favor of lower fees that will stay within the community. My first Bluffton Real Estate blog
“Bluffton, it’s a state of mind” is the common phrase and way of life for the residents of our small but growing coastal town just over the bridge from Hilton Head Island. Bluffton originated as an antebellum retreat for plantation owners who built homes and cottages on the riverbanks of a breezy raised bluff to escape the inland summer heat. [...]
