Memed - A Little About Me, Via a Fellow Foodie
Christoph Schweiger is a fellow real estate agent and blogger in the Phoenix area. We began our real estate careers and blog sites around the same
time, but we also have something else in common. We both came into real estate following stints in food and beverage. I worked as a Chef, Club Manager and owned a restaurant with my husband. I believe, Christoph worked in top hotels, and also has wonderful experience with family wine making. He has tagged me (using the over the shoulder dart technique) for the most recent Meme round.
A Meme is a short list of things about oneself which would, maybe, be a little surprising to readers. Christoph described the rules as: (1) list 7 things about yourself, (2) tag 7 people to do the meme for themselves and include a link to their site.
- I was born in, Monongahela, a small coal mining town in Western Pennsylvania. Yes, I’m a coal miner’s daughter. My oldest brother also worked in the mines for a short while.
- I went to the same high school as Joe Montana – he graduated with my sister.
- I was once the Private Chef to an heir to the Mellon fortune in Woods Hole, MA. I was also a Private Chef for a large plastics corporation during the ‘96 Olympics in Atlanta.
- I had my foot ran over by a car coming out of a church in Southern Ireland.
- I’m a neo-tree hugger, with intentions of building an environmentally sound Green home with my husband and three kids.
- I once owned ‘63 Impala convertable.
- I dream of spending large amounts of time traveling throughout Europe, Asia and South America. I’m especially looking forward to Brussels, Mmmm… mussels and frites.
Enough about me. This Meme offers the chance to toss the tag to a few recently discovered bloggers (Christoph already tagged a few of my choices), plus a few of my favorites.
Ready guys?

Hey Stacey,
Thanks for the tag. Sorry to hear about the foot. That had to hurt. I also hope to travel Europe, Africa, South America, more of Central America, China, Japan…ok I’ll stop and say I want to see as much of the world as I can. International clients are my favorite because I get to learn about their culture. If we don’t cross paths in the States, maybe our families will run into each other in Paris!

Hi Walt. You are welcome. Ya know, it didn’t hurt my foot as much as I thought it was a sign from above.
It was really very funny! I’m just glad the cars in Ireland are so small. I hope that our families meet as well!

Stacey, thanks for the blog entry and the Meme. I’ll work on the latter this weekend.

Hey Stacey,
Thanks for being a sport! One of these days we should hook up for a cook-out. Austrian-Southern Fusion?

Chris,
Your welcome. You, surely, provide the best local mortgage info.
Christoph,
Austrian-Southern Fusion. Hmmm… a wurst BBQ with spatzle and fried green tomatoes. That could be interesting. You bring the wine, of course,

Thanks for sharing. I think many real estate agents can be a little too professional, meaning that they don’t share personal things. I think sharing personal information makes you look more like a regular person, and that helps people warm up to you
