Summertime… Lazy Days for Hilton Head Vacationers, Busy Days for REALTORS
Mary Williams, the President of the Hilton Head Area Association of REALTORS, wrote an interesting article in the last issue of Island REALTOR. The article summed up the way many of our local visitors come to be residents, whether full or part-time.
Mary wrote:
“Over Two Million visitors come to Hilton Head every year, and most of them are here during [...]

A tech smart, news gathering Meme
Toby Boyce over at Sadie’s Take on Delaware, Ohio past on this meme from Maureen McCabe of ColumbusBestBlog.
The Meme was based on how we find our news and how tech savvy we are in gathering it. I always seem to get a little off track with these things, and somehow they tend to revert back to food.
But here’s mine:

Beaufort County is buying more land, slowing development
A number of land parcels south of the Broad River are in the negotiation phase for purchase by Beaufort County. Nearly 100 acres spread out over Southern Beaufort County are slated for sale. The county officials have their eye on these properties for a number of reasons, and town managers from Beaufort and Bluffton each have their own hyper-local [...]

The hidden jewels of Bluffton real estate
While Bluffton has become synonymous with extraordinary golf communities and large corporate-built developments, there are a number of great hidden jewel neighborhoods which would be difficult to find without the help of someone in the know.

The Piggly Wiggly is now open - What a year for Bluffton
Today was the grand opening of the new Piggly Wiggly on the Bluffton Parkway. Of course, I, along with half of Bluffton, made their way to check out the newest area selection of produce, meats, frozen foods, baked goods and libations. The element of humor has to be acknowledged in that the opening of a Southern grocery store [...]

I have to say, this is way too cool!
As new forms of communication and digital processing progresses so quickly now-a-days it is hard to keep up with new technology. So much seems to come and go. But technology such as this surface computer could easily find its way into the real estate industry.
I’ll be honest, most new technology just seems like more work to me. Just as [...]

Holy Front Page BATMAN!!
A few weeks back I was interviewed by one of the local papers on the subject of blogging and how blogs are used by real estate professionals. Funny enough, I had nearly completely forgotten about the article until yesterday. While spending time with our family at the neighborhood pool, a few friends commented on the great article in today’s paper. [...]

Greenway pulls the plug on low income housing for Bluffton
An ongoing debate between a local developer, the Bluffton Planning Commission and the Bluffton Town Council ended abruptly yesterday as the developer retracted his application for a low income apartment complex on Buck Island Rd.
The Bluffton Planning Commission first rejected the proposal from Greenway Development, LLC, but soon after the Planning Commision’s decision was then overturned by the Bluffton Town Council. [...]
